ZOOLIGHT SAFARI – December 4-31, 2015

Get in the spirit this season at the Birmingham Zoo’s Zoo Light Safari! Listen to holiday music as you gaze at the lights, skate at the Glacier Glide Ice Rink, ride on the Candy Cane Train, spin on the Jingle Bell Carousel, have fun on the Yuletide Slide. “Presents for Paws” Monday – Friday beginning Monday, November 23rd , until Friday, December 18th 2015

VW Gallerie and V & W Supply Company are sponsoring “Presents for Paws”, a Christmas donation drive for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

With each donation, you will be entered in a drawing to win a Delta kitchen faucet of your choice. Donations will be accepted Monday – Friday beginning Monday, November 23rd , until Friday, December 18th, at each V & W Supply location from 8:00… a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Needed items include:
Newspapers
Hand Sanitizer
Large & medium pet toys
Copy paper
Kongs for dogs
Paper towels
Cat litter
Clorox wipes
Stainless pet food bowls
Hole free plastic bags
Pet Shampoo
Unopened treats
Unopened name brand dry pet food
Lightweight fleece blankets
Towels

Monetary or gift card donations should be sent directly to the GBHS.

Adoptable Pet of the Week

Meet Niblet!!!

Niblet

Niblet is a 2 year old female  Miniature Pinscher Mix. Niblet and all of her fur friends are available for adoption at The Greater Birmingham Humane Society! This is the perfect time of year to give the gift of home to one of these adorable fur babies.

Want to help but cant adopt? The GBHS Pet Pantry helps keep pets and their families together through challenging times by offering temporary assistance with pet food. They are accepting any except Ol’ Roy, Alpo and Gravy Train.

CALL TO ACTION – help keep GBHS pets warm after surgery!
The veterinary clinic needs the following to help keep the cats and dogs warm after their spay/neuter surgeries. Please bring them to the adoption center at 300 Snow Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209.

Bags of rice (unopened)
Pillowcases (clean or new)
King/Queen size comforters (old but clean works!)
